Yellow Gold Engagement Rings

Going Traditional with Yellow Gold Engagement Rings
In all of the precious metals that are out there nothing has been in the spotlight as long as silver and yellow gold has. For many decades yellow gold was used as the only standard that people were gauging the value of something by. If you wanted to make something look more expensive than it really is then just cover it in yellow gold an instantly you have a piece that could gather a lot of money. Engagement rings have been the same way and for many people yellow gold engagement rings are still the standard by which all other engagement rings are measured. However, for other people yellow gold engagement rings are a nice option but they prefer to go with a different type of metal. In the end it is all personal preference of course but there are a lot of reasons why you should consider going traditional with a yellow gold engagement ring. There is nothing wrong with white gold at all but the entire concept seems counterproductive. Anytime someone presents me with a white gold piece of jewelry I always tell them that is nice but it may look better in gold than in silver. After being reprimanded

for not seeing that it is a white gold piece and not a silver piece I will often ask why they didn't get a yellow gold engagement ring and save the confusion that white gold causes. Face it, white gold will always get confused with being silver and if you really want something to be gold then you should just stick with the yellow gold engagement rings. It's Heavy Metal but It Is Not Gold Platinum seems to be the new metal of choice for engagement rings and this too confuses me. Platinum is more expensive than gold and a lot heavier. It may feel like you are wearing a very expensive platinum engagement ring on your finger from the weight of it but in the end it once again just looks like silver. It may last longer and be more durable but in the end paying almost twice as much for a platinum ring still looks like you paid for a silver ring and that is what people will notice. There are silver rings and then there are yellow gold engagement rings. Do yourself a favor and if you want to avoid the questions for the rest of your life then choose yellow gold engagement rings every time.
